New Subscriber Welcome & Information | Print |

Welcome and Thank You for subscribing to the Research Review Service. We hope you find it useful. This page outlines general instructions to help you optimize your use of the RRS. Please be sure to keep your username and password on file for future reference. Please bookmark www.researchreviewservice.com in your web browser and add This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it to your “safe” email list (if applicable) so you can receive weekly alerts and news about the service.

Each week, you will be notified via email when a new review is posted.  In order to see the reviews, you will have to LOG ON with your username and password. All reviews and content are contained on the website.  There is no hard copy format for the service. You may print them out for your own personal use.

All  reviews are contained in a database which is divided into sections (ex. lumbar spine/pelvis, lower extremity, acupuncture etc.) - some reviews are cross-posted in more than one category.  The database is also fully searchable by keyword – just click the “search” option located in the “Subscriber Menu”.

When you log on, you will be taken directly to a section called "Recent Reviews" where the reviews appear in chronological order.  This is the fastest way to catch up on recent posts.  The “Reviews Archive” section stores all reviews sorted by year.  These links are located in the “Subscriber Menu”.

Website Features

We encourage you to take advantage of the following RRS website features to get the most out of your subscription:

  1. Please participate in our Subscriber Forum for subscribers to share and post clinical cases, discuss the reviews, and communicate with colleagues.  I often post abstracts and links to articles that will not be reviewed on the service, yet another source of relevant clinical information! Active links to the forum will only be visible to logged on subscribers, and you must be logged into the RRS website to use it.  Just click the “Forum” option in the “Subscriber Menu”, or along the top menu once logged in to access the forum.
  2. Post your clinic information in the Subscriber Clinic Directory where you can (voluntarily) post your clinic address, website, phone number etc. This directory is publicly accessible, so potential patients can find you here.  It will also provide RRS subscribers with a network of practitioners to which they can refer clients.  We now have a large group of manual therapists from all over the world, and this directory will provide a valuable community resource for those needing to make a referral. Just click on “Directory” in the “More Menu” or in the right side column once logged in to set up or modify your listing.
  3. You can post a Testimonial directly on our website using the Testimonials Online Form button located in the right column.  This is a good chance for you to tell us why you like the service, in exchange for a link to your personal or clinic website, which we are happy to provide in return (see existing testimonials running randomly in a module at the bottom of the home page). Exchanging links in this manner is beneficial for both sites, increasing traffic between relevant sites.
  4. Utilize our Subscriber Input Form to tell us what you think of the RRS, and provide suggestions or recommendations for possible improvements…we appreciate your time and input in all matters pertaining to this service, as our goal is to make the RRS as user friendly and practically useful as possible.
  5. There is a Job Opportunities page on the site – please check this page regularly for various writing opportunities with the RRS.

Referral Program

We appreciate your help in spreading the word about the RRS, so feel free to tell your friends and colleagues about it.  Every time you refer someone to the RRS and they register an account, your account will automatically be extended for 2 months!  Simply tell the person you refer to send us an email letting us know you referred them, and/or you could notify us as well to ensure you get credit.

If you have any suggestions, comments, or feedback at any time please don’t hesitate to contact us.

Regards,
Dr. Shawn Thistle Founder & President
& the RRS Team
